Sell dreams,
be nice

Conceptual writer or art director? Got some experience or just starting out? Got a head full ideas and looking for a unique advertising opportunity to release them into the world?

This one’s for you.

Let us introduce you to employer branding – the most innovative, enjoyable, team spirited industry you’ve never heard of. Niche? And then some. Here at TMP Worldwide, we do some of the sector’s best work – in a groundbreaking-but-nice-people kinda way.

We sell dreams – exciting (sometimes life-defining) careers on behalf of the widest range of clients to the widest range of audiences. It’s business-boosting, society-benefiting stuff.

The awards shelf is nicely full. Recently gongs galore have included back-to-back Grands Prix. And last year, judges described our work as ‘redefining what great looks like’. Work like this:

Special Forces hero Ant Middleton leads 6 intrepid AA people into the wilderness to find out who’s ‘ready for anything’.

Manchester’s Nurses

Greater Manchester’s titans of music pay moving tribute to the NHS’s unsung heroes.

Kings College NHS

A celebration of brilliant people doing great work in the toughest of times.

Grabbing the attention of sceptical tech talent.

National Crime Agency

Bringing down big criminal fish with the NCA.

Attraction goes ambient on behalf of the ‘residents’.

Westminster City Council

Extraordinary stories abound at the heart of the capital.

Experienced or just starting out?

We’re looking for conceptual Art Directors and Copywriters – both entry level and mid-weight.

Got experience?
Please apply and include a link to your folio.

Starting your career?

We’ve got a brief for you. Impress us with your innovative thinking, and you could join us as a full-time creative on important work for big name clients.

Competition brief

Make the UK fall back in love with milk delivery.

Several generations ago the ‘Milkman’ was a regular fixture in everybody’s lives. At the heart of the community, driving an electric van, full of fresh local produce contained in re-usable packaging… ahead of its time or what?

Your job: find the selling points that will entice consumers back to using morning deliveries, and show us how to promote this ‘bygone’ service in the modern age.

We want to see your creative thinking – show us your overarching concept(s) for this brief, building them on an understanding of consumer motivations, and show us how we can excite and engage diverse audiences. At TMP, we love language, visuals and channel thinking – so give us everything you’ve got. You might want to include example advertising, film storyboards or scripts, social interactions, experiential and ambient activities… whatever you think will work. Nothing is off limits as long as it’s smart.

Please present your thinking in a PDF – as a series of slides that clearly and concisely bring your ideas to life. Demonstrate your copywriting skills or your design & art direction skills (depending on your background) and your strategic approach.

Have fun. We love this brief. Show us you do too. Please send your PDFs to alistair.wotton@tmpw.co.uk Mark your entries clearly so we know if you’re applying as an art director, copywriter or as a team.

Deadline for entries is 15th November 2021.
